Recently, the People’s Government of Hebei Province issued the Decision on the 2025 Hebei Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Awards. The project “Demonstration and Promotion of High-Yield, High-Quality, Multi-Resistant New Potato Varieties and Supporting Cultivation Techniques”, jointly completed by Hongji Agriculture Group, Zhangjiakou Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the Weichang Manchu and Mongolian Autonomous County Potato Industry Service Center, was awarded the Second Prize of the Hebei Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Project Award.

The successful implementation of the Demonstration and Promotion of High-Yield, High-Quality, Multi-Resistant New Potato Varieties and Supporting Cultivation Techniques project has effectively raised potato yields per unit area and farming profitability in the project regions, providing local growers with practical, easy-to-learn, and readily applicable techniques. It fully demonstrates the supporting role of agricultural technology extension in safeguarding food security and increasing farmers’ incomes.
Looking ahead, Hongji Agriculture will further deepen industry-academia collaboration, increase investment in R&D and technology promotion, accelerate the commercialization of advanced agricultural technologies, and continue to strengthen and excel in the potato industry — contributing new and greater strength to the high-quality development of the potato industry across the province.
